Recently, we announced our decision to maintain the AVG brand, as part of our ongoing dedication to our channel partners and their loyal AVG customers.
Instead, we’re introducing a product update to our products and offering a seamless upgrade from AVG Remote Administration to the new AVG Business Management console.

What are the Next Steps for the Product Update?
Managed AVG Business Antivirus
Once the upgrade is released, customers who have the AVG Remote Administration Console will see a message within the application that prompts them to upgrade to the latest version of the AVG Business Management Console (please take note of this new name for the administration console). Once the customer follows these steps, the upgrade will be complete.
*If the customer has an offline network, they will be required to follow different steps, as the upgrade wizard may not work for them.
Standalone AVG Business Antivirus
We will automatically upgrade devices that are not connected to the AVG Remote Administration Console. The customer will not have to take any action.

What Customers Need to Know
In order to help customers with this transition, kindly inform them of the upcoming upgrade. In a future email communication, we will be providing more information on how customers can upgrade, along with a detailed landing page and supporting assets such as upgrade manuals, FAQs, video, and more.
As most of your existing customers using AVG are on-premise users, we see the upcoming upgrade as an opportunity to move them to our latest, cloud-based security products for better protection.
Key benefits for you when moving customers to the cloud:
・The ability to offer new services, such as patch management
・Continuously get new features and services in the cloud
・Central dashboard that provides an overview with the latest service and device data, as well as instant notifications and alerts
・Active Directory deployment support, along with email and link installer support
・Live chat functionality, email support, manuals, and more supporting materials in the console
・Enhanced service and device views, user friendly console design, and easy management

When will the Upgrade Take Place?
Customers will be able to start the upgrade in May and will have until December 2020 to upgrade.
We will continue to keep you updated on this transition as we get closer to launch.
